Reserve gas tank

Just came to me about adding a permanent reserve tank (not the Jerry can on back :-) ). Does anyone have anything like this or tried it? I was thinkin to use the same switching setup as on the 80's pickups. Don't know where to add a tank, though......Any ideas?

ive seen a K5 w/ the rear tank and it also had the 2 side saddle tanks on the side, so he had 3 tanks. i think he used the small tanks (i think ther is a 15 and 20 gallon for the side saddle) i personally have the side saddle tanks and worry about them when driving on the street. i like knowing im gonna live if i get hit on the side so im gonna take thos off when i do the flat bed and put mabye a fuel cell on the back.
