highly agree with organization...its tough to keep on, but a once a week clean up/put away/throw out/store day can keep things running smoothly. Otherwise it can lead to the frustration that explodes one day. I like my 1000# shelves in the back of the shop to hold big heavy items...keeps them off the floor and with 3 shelves they are big enough for trans/transfer cases/ even axles. The top shelf collects many boxes of stuff/ most of them labeled with a sharpie for quick I.D.
The benchtop is the toughest to keep clean/organized. A few 1' deep shelves above the benchtop (right at eye level and higher) works well for me. A light on the underside of the shelf provides open lighting for the workbench too!
