Restoration of a 84 k10 pickup from Norway

This is how the truck looked like when i bought it...
old and slow 6,2 diesel engine, i am going to replace it with a 350

i put on some tires that is more work"friendly"

Lots of scratches and dents...

off with doors and interior

hood, outer and inner fenders...

found a mouse nest under the battery tray

disassembly...new front fenders in the couch...

take it out for a spin, haha

off with the front to take out the engine and transmission



new inner fenders..

bought a used 350

windshield and dash gone



frontend from a suburban, sandblasted and powdercoated

headlight housings...

and batery trays as well..

Got the whole frame sandblasted

3 coats of primer

And 3 coats of topcoat



replacing the rusted rocker panel

Nice progress..looks like you've got some rust work ahead of you, but your kicking it already.

Whats the score on the 350 engine?

Great work so far! Looking really good! What paint did you use on the frame?

first of all i'm gonna get the truck up and running.
And later i might buy a 383 stroker kit, i haven't decided yet.
maybe some of you guys have any opinion what i can do to get a few more horses?

primer is called: corroless rustkiller
topcoat : Jotun Bengalakk
both is 1 component

The charger is a project car also that is next in line after the K10, i bought it "as is" on the photo.. bought it on ebay (over there) in Mars 2011, since then i have just gathered parts and stuff
