Oil change, tranny fluid change (very important), make sure there is adequate cooling for the tranny, and change the tranny filter too. Then dont forget the transfer case fluid, and the front and rear fluid.
If you do it all yourself, you'll spend a day, and about 100 bucks for fluid and filters.
You should also do a full drain and flush of the cooling system- it doesnt sound like these previous owners were very good at maintainance. will cost you about 20 dollars in distilled water to flush and fill, and about 30-40 in coolant.
Do all this first- before you start lifiting, getting tires, and what not. Last thing you want is to spend 1k on upgrades, and then spend 2k on repairs for preventable damage.
Thanks!! I was thinking about doing all that stuff, I reallly want to take it out this saturday up to table mesa..think thats toooo soon?
Here she is...

I took that with my cell, its kinda fuzzy. As you can she its pretty fugly, but for 1k and a case of beer its well worth it. I am getting a new camper shell thingy casue that one has some fiberglass issues and leaks, my buddy did a full convertable swap on his 78 so he is giving me his camper for cheap.
I am thinking of leaving the tires and lift as it is for now, since I am mainly using it to haul my quad in the back, and little bit of off roadin'.

Thats Hilarious. Are these things really that expensive to maintain?
