View attachment 123333 another "what are they" and what do they do?
The big plug is for the brake/turn signals, and is just a bit different from your current setup if I remember right. I believe, but am not certain, that the smaller plug is the cruise control.
View attachment 123334 and this is the washer/blinker/cruise but does it also do headlights at all?
I don't need the cruise at all but it would be nice to put my wiper/washer up on the column and have the intermittent, is this possible, and what this whole thing is really about is my need for blinker.
Now you have some pics
So from start to finish what should be my first step to getting all three components to safely operate my blazer?
The second pic, yes the turn signal does a bit with lights, it is the high/low beam selector.
In the post above, I can't help on the steering box.
Second pic is the neutral safety switch/backup light switch.
Third and fourth are ignition and high beam selector switches. You can see the two rods running down the column, the one closest to the camera is the ignition control rod. The smaller switch on top is the high beam switch.
Fifth pic, if I remember correctly, is the wiper delay module.
Dremu has some wiring info here
http://brochures.slosh.com/ that might be of help to you. You can maintain your floor mount high beam selector, you should be able to wire the delay into your truck without much of an issue, as long as I am correct about the delay module and you can figure out which wires to attach.
The long connector should be similiar to what you already have, and should only require minor pin movements to get brake and turn working for you. Your ignition and neutral safety/backup switches may have the same plugs on them, but again I am not 100% on that.
You can also find any turn signal arm without cruise control to swap on and eliminate part of the wiring. On those years the lever itself just pulls out of the column and you will have to gently pull the cruise control wires up. Everything else on that lever is not actually on the lever, wipers have a switch that the lever goes into, turn signals are through a different switch, and high beams are activated by a lever that is hinged near there.
