i was looking at it and the GMC grill is alot deeper than my bowtie grill. i could remove the hood latch support and trim the outer supports to make it fit, but i am worried about weaking the flat pan (or what ever you call it) at the top. A lot of butts and bellys rest there while wrenching under the hood. i can't see a clean way to re-support it after its removed. has anyone ever tackled somthing like this? and finding new or junkyard parts for 74-75 is like pulling teeth. no on LMC or chevy duty:( i checked. thanks - justin

What the difference is with both GMC and Chevy is from 73-76, the grill's were deep. In 77 they started using a shallower grill. 77+ grill's will fit in a pre-76 rig, but not vice versa.

the center grille vertical support is different too and the hood pull handle changed locations, cut out in the grille

good luck
