Ok so I picked up a new switch so I could have working reverse lights. My only problem is the original switch was hacked out so I have no idea what terminal is what. Im attaching a pic of the new switch if someone could take a look. BTW this is for a 77 k10 with an auto tranny.

Yeah thats what I figured only problem is....no plugs....not even dangling wires

the two horizontal ones in the center of the picture
I don't think it maters which side is what, but remember you will need to adjust it with the bracket to make sure they come on and off with reverse

sweet. just renewed my membership so i could reply to this LOL
I have an '88 with factory sm465. I put a bypass switch in so i would not have to hold the clutch in while i started the truck, but i would be able to flip the switch if someone else drove it... that doesnt really happen.

anyways, i would not worry about a neutral safety switch. It is much more important for me to be able to crank the truck in gear to get thru an obstacle, or out of the street, if something goes wrong.
next time i will connect the ignition wires directly and forget about the neutral safety alltogether.

sweet just renewd my membership and i guess im a newbie again... that post above was supposed to go to a different thread...

embarrassed.

ahahaha

it works here too :waytogo:

neutral safety thing isn't necessary for an auto, but the reverse lights are nice :D

I just wanted my reverse lights to work, I didn't hook up the neutral saftey portion of the switch
