it seems to me the knot at the bottom would just spin and the coil could just go back on even following the natural bend in the wire.. but i guess im arguing my common sense against written word...

if you wanted to reverse it you might be able to get a machine shop to cut the ramp in the gear box to work backwards /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif but i believe the moter is built to pull harder in one direction you would also have to turn the plates that hold the field winding in to get more pulling force in reverse
