Just thought I would say a couple great things about this hood. Main thing is the price. This is the best hood for the money I've ever laid hands on. Mine came in yesterday, ready to go out the box. Some features I really like are that I don't have to turn it on and off or put a battery in, though I think it has a battery inside that charges with solar and that battery is replaceable. The buttons are very easy to read and use. It does have grind mode for those that want it.
I pulled it out the box, put the shade on 9 and went into to run a bead on some scrap and quickly stopped as The arc was so clear I thought I had been flashed and the hood wasn't working. So I turned it up to 13 and while 13 was darker I could still see great. Thats when I realized how bad my cheap hoods were. I turned it back down to 9 and saw more of the weld that I ever have. Amazing. This hood is a great buy at 104 bucks, and it did not take a month to 2 months to come in.
