So few month ago I seen a k10 running them. I talked to the guy that owned the truck. For the life of me I can't remember who made them, he said they came as a kit with the shackle flip. With the flip and shackle it gave the truck about 3 inches. Has anybody or does anyone run these?

never ran them but from what I remember when they first came out, they would hold up to jeeps and mini pickups, but didn't fair so well on heavier trucks.

My brother had them for about 5 or 6 years on his Jimmy. He even went to rockwells and 44's and still had them on for a while. He was totally fine with them the whole time he had them. No complaints. The only reason why he got rid of them is because he wanted to go to 63's to increase his wheelbase.

Never owned set but I have ridden in a jeep that had them. To me the extra bit of flex you get is not worth the unstable feeling you get from them. Felt like we were gonna roll every time they unloaded, which was often.

The longer and wider you are the better they act never liked em on jeeps and zuks but on something that was 115" + on full width axles not so bad.

That said the ability to flex is so overstated in the off road community it's not even funny. Get lockers front and rear. That will help off road capability 100 of times more

I'm not talking about the Tera flex ones. These are from a company out of Colorado they have a pin to lock them closed for on road driving. He did pretty good with them on the trails up by iron ore mountains.

Missing links revolver Z bar etc etc etc etc.

Lot of these have come and gone over the years.

These came out back when the magazines started using Ramp Travel Index (RTI) numbers to see how well everything flexed, and people started making "ramp champs". Didn't matter how it handled on the road or on the trail as long as it flexed like a slinky:rolleyes:

With that said I have known several guys in our club that have used them. Never saw them break or have any obvious issues with them, but they also didn't provide any obvious increase in trail performance.

The company is off road Ltd. My buddy in saint Paul got ahold of the guy. He posts on Arizona k5. He has been to blazer bash with the truck.

The Tera Flex ones also had a pin that could lock the shackle for on road use. They are all pretty much the same design. I have seen the Off Road LTD ones too, pretty much the same. They work just fine, especially on a full size. But I think just a simple shackle flip kit will be better in the long run, just my $0.02
