I only have a 7/8-18 rh tap, don't really want to buy a Lh. I know if I tap both sides rh I won't have a super fine adjustment and will have to take the draglink off. Will I be able to get it all set up and lined up? It's the first time I am dealing with crossover, i seen people say about it I just wana make sure it won't cause any problems.

ghetto fab.
I'm all about it. I homebrewed my high steer/ hydro assist steering links by cutting, sleeving and welding the original drag links from the junkyard.

It was supposed to be temporary a few years ago but seems to be working very well.

I suggest you do it right with RH and LH thread.

You can buy some Threaded tube inserts.

These are from WFO concepts.
And don't forget the jamb nut!

Is it a bent draglink? You can't spin those for fine adjustment anyway, like you can with a tie-rod. You don't really have to, though. One revolution of a DLE is fine enough resolution to set it OK. Here are a couple potential downsides:
  • If you think it's left-hand, you might booger up a jam nut or DLE trying to adjust/change it
  • You may order the wrong replacement part if you forget how it's set up.
  • If it ends up in a shop, repeat the above.

It's the factory tube style tie rod from my old axle I was gona use it as my drag link but the Lh side is bent. Looks like someone used it for a tow point rite at the left tie rod or I hit a rock at some point. I think I'm gona cut it and rig a left hand insert on.

Everything on my buggy is RH joints. Sure it makes initial adjustment a big more work but then its only 1 spare joint to have on hand. All my lower control arms are 1.25" rod ends and all my upper control arms and steering are 7/8" rod ends. Also in a case of a jam nut coming loose there is no possibility of the joints spinning out (extreme worse case scenario). Granted on mine I do my own alignment and with rod ends your not dealing with the taper seat of the DLE/TRE and some minimum wage alignment tech who can't figure it out if you take it somewhere.
