Ride the Spillway Jan. 26, 2003

Sorry! I got busy writing about the axles and forgot the time. Approx 9:00 AM. By the time everyone gets there and unloads it will be 9:30-10:00 AM before we roll.

For those wondering about the sunken Orange Bronco on 36's that wouldn't start it was a combination of a little water in the carb and distributor. A little water displacement additive and a new cap and rotor and he made it the hr drive home.

As always nice meeting all of you. Thank You Chris for stopping to give a yank or two or three to break the bronco free and getting us to dry ground. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Schmuck thanks for the guidence and sticking around to help us out. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I never personally met Thumper but I know he was around somewhere. I was the fool ( well dry fool ) walking around in my chest waders through the marsh to grab winches and ropes and snap a few pics. We got some short but decent video and a few pics. I'll post them when we get them up loaded. Thanks again! Wish we'd have gotten there earlier but wrenching all night still didn't cut it on the Ford. Next time the blazer should be out in all axle snapping force. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Josh- Glad to hear the bronco made the trek back without too much trouble. About helping out, anytime I can I will. Sometimes it just takes a little stretching of a big rope to get someone out. Maybe we can do it again soon. You guys keep in touch and maybe we can come more your way sometime. I'm always looking for new places to ride. I'll post some pics soon. What did you think of those cut boggers?

You know. I noticed the cut boggers after you crossed the pipeline hole by the woods the second time. They looked extremely aggressive and cleaned pretty well. I think we got a pic or two of your truck...I was also wondering as you were leaving as the cut boggers must wear excessively fast...hope you didnt have to drive too far /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif....the spillway is really as close as it gets to big trucks bogging. Just south of lafayette they have mud bogging competitions....it is however an additional 2hrs from the spillway /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif i'll have to wait till a friend uploads the pics and i'll post what we got. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Actually the cut boggers are Scott's in the blue bronco, he had my TSL's on the front of his. He usually runs cut boggers front and rear. I was just testing them out. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifI've got to get me a set of boggers for the rear. I forgot how good they feel. I had 40" boggers on the rear before. I now remember why I liked them so much.
