I'm planning on buying new rims and tires for my truck and I'm not sure what back spacing is needed. This is mostly a daily driver which only plays in mud. I've got 10bolt, front and rear, and a 4 inch "rough-ride country" lift. I currently have 15x8 rims and 35x12.50 Mickey Thompson MTX's. (they suck in the mud!)

I'm want to get 35x14.50 but it will probably rub. So I guess I'm stuck with 35x12.50 mud terrains.

What size rim would I need 15x10 or 15x8?
What back spacing?

I would recommend a 15x10" rim for a tire that is 14.5" wide. be sure to check what size rim it needs to be mounted on. I use Tyres International as a reference for tire/rim fitment. When I had my 35's I was running a 15x10 with like 4.5" or so of backspacing and the rim rubbed the tie rod. Now I am running a 15x12 with like 2.5" of backspacing. No problem rubbing anymore.

Hope this helps some
