Here the deal. I have a chance to buy some new rock crawler that are 15X10, 6 lug, 5" back spacing.. I have corp 10 bolt front and 12 bolt rear. Can I run a rim with a 5" backspacing on my blazer?

No. It will hit the tie rod ends by about an inch. 4" is the max, and even that may rub the weights off in some applications. I can not keep weights on mine with 4" as it hit s the right side tie rod. I have to spacer it out 1/4".

which has nothing to do whatsoever about what this guy is asking about.................................................

Exactly! But a tape measure would tell him the same chit he'll learn here. I guess I'm just tiring of the questions that are asked before even looking first.:dunno:

It takes more energy to bitch about someone who can't search because he's not a paying member "yet" than to just be polite and answer his question. :deal:

Is there any differnece between his diff and a 3/4t pickup front 10b? I run 4.25BS 15x10's on my front 10b 8 lug.

The 3/4 ton fronts have bigger brakes, something like 12.5" rotors IIRC (and again, IIRC, 1/2 tons have 12" rotors and 1 tons have 13" rotors).

For reference, the 1/2 and 3/4 ton calipers are practically identical (I have seen that some 3/4 ton calipers have a piston that is ~1/32" bigger but that's so small that I don't know why GM even bothered with it), the 1 ton calipers are much bigger.

The real problem for the OP apparently is whether the wheel will hit the tie rod or not, and that has no relevance to brakes.

i have a set of rims on my blazer with 4"bs and i cant have weights on the inside of my rims or they will hit the tie rod ends so 5 in bs rims probably wont even bolt on.

if you like those wheels, im selling a set exactally what your talking about but with 3.75" backspacing cheap. they fit very nice on 1/2 ton axles and dont hang out of the wheel well. they are listed in the tire/wheel section of the classified forum. :wink1:
