I just got new tires mounted on a set of rims I bought over a year ago. Come to find out the bolt pattern is correct but the center hole is about 1/4 " too big around the hubs. Is this a problem? Can you totally depend on the studs to hold the tire centered or do you really need the center to fit perfectly? I am running them at the moment but thought I would ask for some advice!! Thanks guys!!

Unless you are jumping the truck or pounding the crap out of it in some way or over loading it. Run it.

it depends on the taper of the lug nuts and the taper of the wheel. hub centric and lug centric is the difference.
youll be fine.

The center hole is not always round. I have a set of OEM wheels on my 3500 Chevy that have to be balanced with stud rings. The center holes will not balance correctly because they are not concentric with the rim.
