So I am trying to decide between 2 Wheel Vintique rims. One is 16x10 with 5" Back Spacing and the other is 16x8 with 4" backspacing. They will be painted white and go on my 1975 k5 with a 14 bolt ff and Dana 44 with highsteer 4" suspension 1" body. I am planning on 315/75r16 but who knows maybe in the future go larger. When I am done rebuilding my dana 60 it will go up front.
I think I would like the deep dish look of the 16x10s but will the 5" of backspacing be too much?
Anyone have similar setups?

Food for thought. They don’t list the max load for those wheels. All of the steel wheels I found were rated much lower than aluminum wheels. I would also add that 17” tires were actually less than 16” for the same height width tire, not a bunch though. Much more variety with 17s. Lots of clearance.

I have 4.75 backspace 17x10 wheels on d60 and I have about a 1/2” of clearance to tie rod on 35x12.5x17.

I should have mentioned Im going for a more nostalgic look and utilizing my dog dish hubcaps.
It would be awesome if a company came out with a 17" that accepts the hubcaps. Especially with the greater selection of tires.
Sounds like there would be plenty of room with the 5" back spacing. Right now I have some later model aluminum stock rims on it for rollers. Not sure of there back spacing but they seem deep.

Both tires are 315 75 16. The x10 really make it look good. I chose x8 for a skinnier look. It's what I like more.
