ok my roommate has an '03 superduty with about 17k miles on it and he has 3.73s and 37" PJs on it he wants to regear to 4.30 does he need rebuild kits or just install kits.

If I were him I would get a rebuild kit because I would not reuse the old bearings when setting up a new R&P because you risk hurting them when taking them off of hte old R&P. And you also get an assortment of shims in the rebuild kit.
