Ring and pinion

How’s the ring and pinion marked for a 4.10 gear ratio and how many teeth should I count to for that gear ratio. Dose it make any difference what type of axels it is?

You divide the number of ring gear teeth (41 or whatever yours is) by the number of pinion gear teeth (10 or whatever) and get your gear ratio. 41/10=4.10 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah like jeff said, if there is 41 ring gear teeth, and 10 pinion teeth, you have 4.10's /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

If you ever get stuck, just divide the small number by the big number, and then you find the gear ratio /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

41 and 10 for sure for at least 12 and 10 and 14 bolt axles and dana 44 and 60's too, i dunno on other modlds beyond that
