the question is, do you need a carrier as well? if its got anything lower(numerically) than 4.56s he will need a new carrier too. or at least a ring gear spacer. Some odd reason no one makes thick gears for Dana 60 Low pinions.

Nope, no carrier needed.
Already running 4:56's but they busted.
Need to replace the front R&P in order to go play some more.
