road armor bumper for 81-88 gmc

i know this is a stupid question but i have a 80 k5 and really like that road armor bumper they make for the 81-88. why wouldnt it bolt up to my 80?? anyone know???

the frame width is just a hair different (28" on 81-87,91 and 27 3/4" on 73-87). also the frontend is shaped just a little different and they may have the clearances to close on the 81-87,91 that it won't fit the 73-80 without hitting.

if you really like it and it is worth it to you you can convert your front clip to the 81-87/91 style then you could prob make fit pretty well.

if i am not mistaken it looks like a 73-80 pickup they show the bumper on on there website

www.roadarmor.com it lists it as 81-87 but shows a 73-80

actually with the prerunner bar unpainted it is 1700 painted is 1900
