Alright guys I am flying out to WA state to buy a truck from a fellow CK5er. It is a '91 crew cab. I will be arriving in Pasco, Wa on May 16th. Me & my dad will be driving the truck home May 17th -19th. We are travelling from Pasco, Wa to Memphis, TN. Roughly 2100 miles. Any travel advice on routes to take or avoid or offers to assist in an emergency would be appreciated. If you are willing to give your help in case of emergency please post up or pm me your name & number. The truck should make it fine but you never know. Thanks CK5 brothers.

also if u need parts moved along this route & we can work it out were it will not slow me down much i would be glad to do it. I'll be in a long bed 1-ton, but it will have a camper top on it. What ever you need hauled would have to fit under a camper shell. will haul parts for gas. i have to be back to work on the 20th.

this is the proposed route. thanks again

Pretty sure Fumes and I will be drinking beer.. We're about 25 mins from Portland.

Goodluck!!

Route looks good.
Especially since it takes you by the original Cabelas in Sydney, NE.
You better stop in there.

will not haave time for many stops, got to be home by sunday to go back to work. thanks for the tip though

So you're the one who bought my truck. :wink1: Take care of it and don't butcher it up like some others have. :doah:

What about taking I-70 instead of 80? I'm off 70 by 8 miles south. ;)

It isn't your truck:D it is mine all mine. anyhow i'll look at the I-70 route, you want me to stop so you can drool over it? j/k

I have full plans to scrap the bed narrow the frt & cage & tube it out. cut the top off & make it full convertable. i can't wait. It will be the coolest off road rig ever.

Sure, why not stop by? Maybe I can tempt you to trade for my K30. How you get it home it your problem, not mine. The forward gears in the tranny quit. :D

If you cut up that truck, I'm gonna have to sic Homeslice on you. :doah: :D

Were would be a good place to pick up I-70, does it run all the way to Denver? if it does i could drop into Denver from Cheyene?

No offense but i don't think i will want to trade, I have had my heart set on a truck like this one for some time. This one is even my favorite color!

Homeslice will just have to be sad, cause I got a sawzall & a plasma cutter with that trucks name on it. :crewcab: :grind: :weld: :hack:

Ah man I remeber going to colorado to get my Crewcab. Man I love road trips. I wish I had more time on the way back to see the sights.

Yep, Denver will get you right on 70 and take you all the way to K.C. which I saw on your map above. Denver is exactly 400 miles west of me, so I know thats right around 6 hours to drive.

Are you serious on cutting up the truck?
