So i went to visit my mom who lives outside off Phoenix for xmas and she needed a new dryer so instead of having one delivered i decided to pick one up and deliver it myself, its a little over 450 miles from my house and believe it or not my most economical car is my 700 hp Dodge Hellcat but a dryer isn't going to fit so what the hell road trip with the crew cab dually,

Its been a lot of years since i have road tripped with a 454 turbo 400 combo ( like 25 years) so i think i have forgotten how much fuel that thing can use, on the way out i was driving right around 70 and got just under 10 mpg, on the way back i set the cruise at 77 and didnt really think about it until i was like damn i need gas already, 7.6 ouch my Hellcat got 23 last year and cruise was set at 85

The good thing was this year i wasn't worried about getting a speeding ticket so actually made the drive more comfortable

Suuuuuuuuuuuch a sweet rig, brother. And nice to read about you helping out momma.

Before your time at CK5 I owned a V3500 and yeah, that thing loved gas stations. And gas stations loved me!

My big black burb will not drop that drastically till about 80.

So pretty close to yours but I only drop to about 8.5 to 9 I don't really do extended periods at those speeds so hard to say but the one time I did about a 100 miles at 80 it was right there at 8.5

Buety truck like that n you haven't road tripped it until now?! Crazy! I'd use it all the time but that is why I put overdrive in mine haha! :waytogo:

That's a pretty crazy drop in MPG for just a 7 mph increase. Don't feel too bad though. I flat towed my K5 behind my F450 from my in-law's to my parent's and then back to my house. 9.6mpg average at around 75mph. Granted, my F450 is lifted with 37s, but you would think a 6.7 diesel would get better mileage than that!

Love your CC by the way!
