Tried to search - sure this is a repeat question...
1990 K5 all stock - no lift mods etc. It has road walk bad. Front end components have mostly been replaced in the last several years but it still walks - the steering just feels loose. What is the common issue? Is there a mod I can do to tighten this up - stabilizers of some kind? Any help appreciated.

Lets start with what all have you replaced? ball joints?

Ive got the same loose steering wheel, i need to have someone move the wheel for me while i watch to see whats moving.

the most common culprits are the following :
Rag joint
Steering box play
Steering linkages
Ball joints.

for the rag join i suggest an XJ steering shaft from ebay. they are super cheap
to adjust the steering box you will need to take it off the truck (check your frame while you are in there)
to check your steering linkages have someone turn the wheel back and forth with the engine running so the power steering is giving its effect.

to check the tie rods/ball joints jack each side up and see if you are able to move the tire in any direction. keeping the other tire in the ground lets you feel the slop in that area.

the worn gear on the steering box is a common area of play. you need to have it off the truck and the steering pump lines off. turn the steering back and forth to pump all the fluid out. then follow the procedure here
