roadshock 8k winch reviews?

My FIL bought me this winch for my graduation. Im really stoked on it but im not sure if its any good. 98% say they would buy it again on another website but does anyone have any real world experience with one? thanks guys.

The only times ive heard of these winches is when they failed. One was on a jeep and wouldnt pull him on fairly flat ground after 2 uses. Other was a 74 shortbox that it lasted 3 pulls and then barely had enough power to spool up under a load.

Could just be random occurances that just happened to be publicised.

It did good in this review.
