Rochester Mechanical Fuel Injection

I'm not considering it I just want someone to explain to me how it works. I'm quite knowledgable in automotive stuff so don't worry about confusing me too much, unless you just give a dumb description /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. If anyone could help I'd be greatful. I never have bothered learning how it all works.
