I'm looking into buying a q-jet carb. Any know what the part # is of the kind I should get? I figure I need a 650cfm 4 barrel (like the edelbrock I have on my 84 blazer now) But I am not having too much luck finding out which part number that would be. any help would be appreciated....

I don't think there were any 650cfm q-jets. The smallest I know of is a 750cfm one.

I recommend you buy an edelbrock one. Their 750cfm is part #1902. That's the one I'm running and I really recommend it. I went through 3 remanufactured carbs before finally buying this one. I regret not doing it before.

i have an edelbrock on my truck right now, its the 650cfm from the performer line, but from what I have personally noticed, and what I have read about both the performer and dominator (I think that is what they are called) lines, they seem to not be so great at any kind of an angle. I know the dominators are supposed to be better than the performers.... how has your luck been?

Get the 1904. It's the closest to what the truck came with, has electric choke and will plug right into your existing 84 wiring.
Even thoug it's rated at 795 it will onloy open as much as the engine can pull. it will work on a 305 equaly as well as it will work on a 454.

It's not my damn planet monkey boy!
