this rocks. Since I was a little kid I've wanted a big truck with big tires... namely... 44s. Today a guy picked up my 39.5s and dropped off a set of near-new 44x18.5x15 TSLs. These things are huge! Can't wait to finish the truggy and throw 'em on there. :thumb: pics to come... woo-hoo!!!!!!!

44s are too small these days, anybody who has a half way decent rig is running at least 47's:haha:

lol... not without rockwells or portals lol! I wouldn't run a tire any heavier than these on a 60... even with supa-bling shafts/joints. :)

they are comin... keep ur pants on! :thumb:

yeppers, I'm a goofy bastage... but I've got a 1-ton truggy in the making... and 44 TSLs to put on it. :thumb:

Those rims won't be on there long... I have a set of black 15x10 Eaton HD rims that I am gonna run DIY4x beadlocks on.

All I can say is, "damn"!

Congrats, that is cool!

P.S. My wife just caught me mumbling about 44's adn said something to the effect of, "oooh great, here we go again":D

yeah, some day I wanna build a yota-based buggy... with 35s or 37s. After runnin these big bastages though, Im not sure I'll be able to go back. lol!

Hard to believe, after a while the 44's will look normal too. They are fun though. You realize how big they really are when you start looking for a place to carry a spare!:haha:

there won't be a spare on the truggy. I'll probably buy a bald roller and lock it to the trailer and/or tow rig somehow... but I don't think there is any good way to mount it to a truggy that won't...

a) totally screw up my view to the rear of my rig
b) be so high that it is a COG problem
c) be so high that it isn't a safety problem getting it down!

;)

Yep, I hear ya on all accounts. OH and by the way, now I know what a jekbrown looks like!:haha: :eek1:

the other problem with hauling around a 44" spare is that the back end of my truggy is going to be the same width as the frame... which is what, 30-something inches? No way I'd want to put a 44" rubber rear bumper on my rig... and if you put it up top it'd be an accident waiting to happen. lol!

AFA the pic goes, its a pretty goofy one of me... so I'm not sure you really do know what a jekbrown looks like or not. I do have a red beard though.
