Im getting a little knock on the passenger side of my engine. Its not a bottom end knock so i think its a rocker arm. Anything i can do to fix this?

Seriously, yeah it's not all that great on the pushrob or the rocker arm, that's where the sound is coming from the pushrod slapping the rocker, i'd try to tighten it up a tad as mentioned in the other thread and see if that helps, if not then a lifter replacement may not be a bad idea.

It may not be the desired option, but i know you can just change out a single lifter without any ill effects as well.

adjust them if it is possible.if the lifters are getting weak at least it will bring the rocker closer to the push rod so it wont tic anymore.as long as you dont have an exhaust leak because that will tic also.

Actually i do. but that's way down at my collector.
I've run all sorts of gaskets on those ****ing collectors and nothing seals up. Aluminum has worked the best though.

I use the aluminum mr gasket ones doubled with longer bolts.both up top and at the collector.

for header gaskets, if ya want cheap for the mating surface at the head, i alays use the factory style paper/metal gaskets, never had one leak yet, and they're cheap (usually) for a complete set.

For the collector, eh, i did have a paper gasket on an older car blow out when it was driven through a water puddle, but since then i really haven't had any issues with the Mr.Gasket metal looking ones, i think they are metal coated paper or something, install them, get them tight and haven't had any leaks as of yet.

Have you tried Remflex gaskets for the collector?
I have them at the head and have not had any issues with them at all. I had tried every kind of collector gaskets without any luck. The Remflex collector gaskets have been in for about 2 months. I think they were $12.99 for the pair at my local parts shop. They have a money back guarantee also.

When I had leaky header collectors on one truck ,I put a muffler adapter inside the header and front pipe connection,(sleeved it) and then put the usual gaskets on them, they lasted years instead of days that way,the pipe takes the "pressure" off the gaskets...I've also WELDED the collectors together a few times ,that shut them up permanently!..:D..but made later dissasembly a chore..
