My 88 sub is has a stock 350 aside from headers, a performer manifold will be installed in the spring. the engine needs to pull 15 in/hg at 1000 rpms. the cam is stock.

Would it be worth my time to install higher ratio rockers?

nope wast of time. going from 1.5 to 1.6 wont give you any real hp upgrade feel in the seat of the truck.

the stock tbi cam is so small it is the major power killer. easy mods for power on these tbi motors is air/fuel in and out.

upgraded intake like 4 barrel for 87-95 center bolt heads. then adaptor plate back to tbi . flows a lot better than tbi intakes.

swap to computer friendly cam thats not stock . good mod is a used lt1 cam with the roller lifters and bolt it in with few mods. or comp cam has a few that work good.

then set of shorty headers or long tube if you want. but stock manifolds or shorty headers with new 2.5" y pipe custom made and 3" single exaust flow 300% better than stock tiny junk.

those few mods there will get you easy 50 - 70 hp bolt on.

try www.thirdgen.org = lots of tbi upgrade info. mostly for cameros of the 80's but works for us.
