did your mother have any children that survived?

a law is a law, plain and simple. alcohol, no matter how little the quantity will impair your judgment in some way. maybe not enough for you to notice it flat out, but wouldnt it be hell to have it strike at the most critical time and you flop your truck killing your kids. beer = impair, impair = somebody's gonna get hurt. why dont you ****ers understand this?! its not that god damned hard!:angry1:

my brother is breathing.... barely. He already rolled his s10 jimmy from drinkin and drivin hit a tree and did a rodeo flip with his rig, also jumped off a cliff (drunk and broke his leg), compound fracture, and broke his back jumpin into the lake.... you don't have to tell me that this **** is retarded cause i learned that from my bro 5 years ago. YOu don't have to tell me not to do it cause i never said anything about drinkin and drivin. LEGALLY you can kill your truck drink a beer wait an hour and continue... A beer is not just gonna hit u all the sudden and make u do something stupid... if one beer does that then u had that something stupid in u without the beer. As far as one beer imparin your judgement i usually can't tell until im through a 12 pack or 2 and i end up skinny dippin in the neighbors pool with the chick from down the street. j/k
It was my pool. lmao

but serious i just got my license back 2 days ago from mip not for alcohol though... lol I love beer, wheelin, and some chronic every now and then but i don't mix em.

i dont know what kind of wheeling you do, and i wasnt saying that 1 beer will make you feel anything. the type of wheeling i do, a slight mistake can put you on your lid. just a split second delay in reaction time could be the difference between driving back home, or riding in an ambulance. the last 2 times i have been wheeling were more hardcore than i have ever been before. i witnessed Tim once in a very close call on a steep incline, drop the right front tire in a hole, and it put about 5' of air under the left rear tire RIGHT NOW. the other time was on the obstacle course at RTCC, my fault, i was spotting and didnt have him turn sharp enough to drop off a ledge, same scenario, drop the right front, air under the left rear. and we didnt have 4wd to bail us out that time (broken shaft cobbled together), just got lucky i guess.

I'll leave your insults where they are, I am not condoning drinking and driving...but pulling into camp and popping a beer is no biggie IMO if your not planning on doing anything for the next hour or 2 (read, driving). I'm sure we all know someone thats been in an accident or thats died due to drinking and driving. Its always tragic, and i'm sorry if me drinking one beer in camp offends you. This wasn't even my thread, I was just throwing my 0.02 in. Nobody said they get hammered and load up the family for some off road fun, and if they did I'd be on thier case too! A guy drinks a beer, and some people take it to an extreme and say he got smashed (or intends to) and is trying to kill everyone in sight with his Blazer...making a huge assumption and insulting people isn't very cool. The point was made that your wits need to be with you while wheeling, and drinking and driving is a no go...leave it at that. So judgmental...geez.

And back to the BLM issue, the majority of the accidents involve minors-that have been drinking....I don't go to Glamis anymore because its a drunken zoo....kids take daddys new toyota, load up all the friends and go out and get hammered and trash the place up.

The funny thing is I never felt that one beer was to bad.....then I get to see a brake tester in a semi and things changed. What they do is have you drive around a course with a recorder on the brake pedal and at a certain point they have you lock the brakes to test your reaction times. Then its heres your beer and 30 minutes later same test, both of the test victims that day were slower by about 3 tenths of a second. To me that isn't that much unless you consider that the driver was prepared for that stop, knew it was coming just not when. When you go that way and remeber its see the situation, recognize the danger and then step on the brake, the whole thing gets stretched way out. The way the instructer put it was, "Drunk or tired its the same thing, If your not ready and waiting for it you won't see it coming". That was 8 years and about a million miles ago. I'm not preaching just saying there are very few people who can drink one beer and not have any effect. Somewhere I have a link to a video of a traffic stop where the cop is trying to get a guy to fail a field sobriety test. This lady cop has the guy doing dances to get him to fail, keeps saying I smell liquor and all that and when she finally quits and says You're a pretty good dancer is that what you do for a living? Keep in mind she had him doing stuff I couldn't do sober when he says "No I'm a carpenter, I only dance this good when I'm drunk." :o
