Rockwell brake problem

i have diy4x pinion brakes for my rockwells.the brakes fit the axles great and look good,the problem is the rotor hits the leaf spring.specs-chevy spring spacing and 8" lift springs and 0 rates.i havent found a pic of a gm with rockwells and pinion brakes unless it is lifted to big for what i want.any body have pics of a leaf sprung gm with pionon brakes or run into this issue?
 
The pinion brake can be put on the other side of the axle housing. This would put the brake layed over to the other side or more under the center of the rig rather than toward the leaf spring.

Never had anybody report that till now. Couple guys have said they had the caliper touch the leaf spring. In which case the flop to the other side has always been the most straight forward solution.

How much more clarance do you need?

OK either you are using too big of a rotor like a 3/4 ton instead of a 1/2 ton, or you need to flip your third 180 degrees.

My rotor hits my spring, so does the caliper bracket. I tried rotating to the inside, but the caliper hits the center chunk. I have Ballistic spring perches and 12" springs. I'm going to take out the shim that came in the bottom of the pack, that should be enough. My other thought was to outboard the springs.
 
i have DYI4X pinion brakes and i had a similar problem...i rotated them to the next hole-set up (so the caliper would be higher up), and moved the whole brake set up to the back of the front axle (driveshaft side), that put the spring in a different location relative to the brakes (more towards the bottom then in the middle, which obviously does not stick out as far as the middle would). im not sure any of that can make sense with out me pointing to it while explaining....

here is the brake BEHIND the axle instead of in front because it intersects the spring at a different location in relation to the rotor (see next pic)

and here you can barely see the leaf spring in the bottom corner, but you can tell that the spring sits more towards the bottom of the rotor (which doesnt stick out as far (2/3 of the radius maybe) as if it were 90* from the rotor, which would be the full radius)....
