About the same as 1 tons, however much that is in your area.

Easy to find.

Kinda tough, they use a unique bolt pattern with big wheels. You won't be able to use any conventional wheels/tires without buying aftermarket hubs that use a more common 8 lug bolt pattern.

Also be aware that Rockwells need a LOT more clearance above the axle (i.e. a lot more lift or a chassis built around them) and they are not really streetable without pouring tons of money into their brakes (and even then their super low 6.72:1 ratio is probably not usable on the highway anyway).

call this guy his name is rizzo 810-989-9603 he has a set of 2 1/2 rockwell axles..i think hes asking around 1500 for them..... he also has 52 in military tires laying around.. and some wheels

you can use any "BIG 6" pattern bud wheel on them, they are great axles and with the proper t-case and transmission gearing you can run them on the highway, pinion brakes can be built cheap and they work good, personally i wouldnt drive a truck that tall on the road much cause your screaming for a ticket......i live in florida which is home of the "4x4 truck with rockwells" group, if it was me i would go 5 ton rockwells and forget about the 2.5's, just better axles.....

Pinion brakes are way dangerous on the street, the rotor will be glowing bright red after your first quick stop. The rotor on the pinion brake spins too fast and doesn't have enough cooling capacity.

Pinion brakes are effective off road though.
