Rockwelled K5 build on Toyota board

That's a sweet blazer. You got any pics you wanna post on here? Specs?

well its a 83 blazer, got it bone stock, running a 355 motor lots of upgrades. 4 link front suspension with 2.5x 18" travel fox airshocks. 63" chevy springs in the rear, propane injection, full hyro steer, 44" boggers on 32 bolt beadlocks, headlights are off my old 05 honda civic, turbo 350 trans, marlin crawler dual ultimate tcases front case has 2.28 and rear is 4.7 ratio. with both cases in low it will just crawl its way to the top of my ramp. it has rockwell axles front and rear. im sure im forgetting things but its a start. go on you tube and type in 1983 blazer and i got like 8 videos on there

I found a couple of the movies on youtube... looks like the setup works great!
So it's radius arms with a panhard bar up front? Also looks like it's setup with 100% droop (or close to it) with little to no up-travel. Interesting setup.

You forgot to mention the wheelbase. Isn't it at like 117" or something close?

Wow, i just read your whole thread... Very cool...

I don't know anything about Toyota cases... Is it pretty common to bolt them up to a th350???

the wheelbase is 110 but im going to go a little more to clear 54's

Avery4jc- the videos on you tube are kinda old cuase i lowered the front end by putting taller shock hoops on but i add more nitrogen to the shocks so i have more up travel, but im going to change to a triangel 4 link and get rid of the pan hard bar and same link setup in the rear

Wow, nice. The wheelbase mine's gonna be at is 111" with 47" LTBs. Can't imagine running 54s on a K5 with that setup but it would be cool to see how well it will work. Then again, I plan on keeping the sheetmetal up front instead of doing what you did with yours.

the toy tcase's cant bolt up to any chevy trans without the adapter. i got a really good deal from a buddy that needed the money, the case's had only been used once on the trail and the adapter was never used, i honestly thought i would break them with the horse power and big axles but still have them in there and going

well im trying to sell or trade my snap on tool box so i can get bigger tires, i can clear 49's as it is now. i would trade my tool box for a new set of 47's with hummer 12 bolt beadlocks with rockwell bolt pattern. i think 47s would be ideal for this rig

a 2wd toy tranny is 21 spline and the 4x4 toy trans are 23. i got the advanced adapter trans and tcase adapter with a sleeve inside to mate them up, but the tcase have all chromoly shafts and all that stuff. my buddy paid almost $2900 for this setup and i got it for less then half that

I also think 47s would be ideal for your rig. 49s are just too wide and 54s are just too tall plus you're asking for trouble running 54s on a heavy overweight pig such as a fullsize but then again 47s are not much different in weight anyways. The point I'm trying to make is 47s would be the tallest tires I'd want to run.

ya very true. if someone offered me 47s with wheels setup for rockwells in trade for my toolbox, that box would be gone in a heart beat

i paid just under 10k for my tool box so i hope i can find someone to trade. everyone is broke so its hard to find anything worth trading that box for
