Look beyond the big tan Osh Kosh, that thing is not what I was pointing out.

or enough power to get one of those off the ground... drop the clutch and hammer it... must weight a lot!!!!

side note.. it does have disc brakes so it seems.. rockwells dont and conversion is expensive.. so in reality these could be good.. with 77" tires... just sayin...

Those are what's used in Monster trucks (or something very similar) that's about the only thing they are useful for

That's probably why the price is so low. There's virtually no demand, and the custom work to adapt it to anything other than the military vehicle it was designed for is going to be real pricey.

He probably either has or can get military surplus rims to fit the axles. If he is actually selling new Rockwell's with electronic lockers for $500, i would guess the rims would be pretty cheap too.

I'm considering buying 1 or 2 just to resell locally.

I called the guy, they are selling fast, and he says any standard semi truck wheel will fit them, so a set of "super single" rims is all you would need to have (14") wide rims.

He said they are new Axletech (formerly Rockwell) with air lockers, and the wholesale price (not retail) is over $23,000 each. He even tried to trade me straight across for my HP D60.

Good news for many of you guys, he said someone bought a semi-truck load of them and is having them shipped to Colorado. Unfortunately I'm sure they won't be $500 each when they arrive.

The axletech plant is right across the street from me. See them rolling out by the semi-load all the time. Pretty neat.

I'll guarantee us taxpayers took a beating on the mountain of axles that this guy has somehow acquired. But at least he's selling them at near scrap metal prices to whomever forks over the Federal Reserve notes the fastest.

I have a guy coming to buy my old 10 bolt and some other extra parts that I had for sale. I'm tempted to take that $500 and go buy one of his Rockwell's and haul it up to the local offroad park and sit next to it in a lawn chair and triple my money.

OMG as I was typing this my wife said I could buy 2 if I could flip them quickly.
What do you think fellas?

I highly doubt you will triple your money selling to somebody at the local offroad park. These things are for monster trucks and big ass mud trucks. Take these to Florida and you will have an easier time selling them imo

Once again.
I am not talking about the axle in the first picture.
I was referring to these.
