How much would you guys ask for the stock roll bar out of a 75 K5? Im gonna buy a DIY kit, but someone is interested in buying the stock one I have.

50 buck. It's just the stock crappy roll bar in my mind. Nothing special about it, although to recreate it, would take the purchase of a tubing bender and a notcher and a welder and a band saw of some kind. And a air compressor so you can dress and weld prep the weld joints. And,...and..., and..., I have a whole cnc machine shop now that started as I wanted a tube bumper for my K5...till I saw the cost for a DOM tubed bumper. I bought my own bender to make my own bumper, and cage, and as many bumpers as I wanted if I wanted. Seriously now X amount of years later I have a shop that's supports my dirt play hobbies of off road crap. Couldn't be happier about it. I think every guy should have fab skills and tools. Just sayin lol.

I had one of those for sale, started at $100 and ended up selling it for locally $60. If you have a local buyer, make it happen! I had internet people interested at $75 but could not find an affordable option to ship it.

Depends....if mine didn't already have the original one in it when I was restoring it, I would have paid more to get one. Makes me want to save that one.

Years ago I bought one at a salvage yard for 25 bucks..out of a junker..
Wanted it for my 2wd '75 K5..
I had to chop the floor out with a cold chisel to get it out though..
Bolts were all rounded over, and it was tack welded to the floor, and the roof couldn't be removed...was a battle getting it out,but worth the 25 bucks !..

Bet you couldn't find one around here for love or money now--if you did ,the price would be more like 100-150 bucks probably..

Since it's just the stock crappy roll bar, it should not be more than 60 bucks. Just that you will have to recreate it, which would cost you a tubing bender and a notcher and a welder and I think a band saw. And most probably a air compressor for dressing and welding of joints.

This post is 4 years old...what did happen to it?
