Well I came up with what I’m told is a front roll bar for a K5, I traded the guy for some
Miscellaneous hot rod parts I had, he also had a roll bar from what he thought was an FJ that is almost the identical width. I test fit them both today and they actually look like they might work out ok. The back hoop foot pads line up with the back foot pads of the front almost perfectly..
Santa brought me a soft top that I’ve been salivating over, so I’m thinking I’ll work on getting the soft top installed and ensure everything is gonna play nicely, then get a couple bolts through the floor each roll bar, and have a bar welded between them to give the back hoop some stability..
Also probably need to get some plates for the underside to sandwich the floor..
Of course everything will be cleaned up and painted before final install.. any tips on anti- corrosion between the foot pads and body?
