I've been searching the internet to find a roll bar/ cage for my '85 Jimmy with no luck. I'm wondering if I'll need to get it fabbed up, or if someone knows where I can buy one to bolt on. Whatever I do, it has to fit underneath the top.

If you would, please post up some pics of yours and where you bought it, price, etc.

Ah, and therein lies the key......... If you are going to be doing any long term projects, paying to join is a small fraction of the technical help you will find here. I've paid for my membership a billion times over.

Summit / Jegs have cage pre-bent cage kits.

membership will pay for itself, trust me.

Without sounding like an ass, I've been turning wrenches professionally now for better than 15 years, the info here cannot be found else where, pony up! you'll never regret it! Plus the lounge is a million laughs!

when did this happen?

I've been coming here since CK5 started and before I became a member, I don't ever remember being able to search until I became one. :dunno: Maybe I'm wrong but I think it's always been that way.. or has for some time now.

I never noticed because I became a paying member after exactly two trips to this site...:D

I also got hooked after a few visits. But to help you out with your question I would try these folks:

www.eoronline.com/

I hear their cages are pretty good. I just wish they were a little cheaper. But then again you pay for what you get. When it comes to cages; it's money well spent.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate you giving me some advice.

Anyone else know of a site that has roll bars/ cages?? I'd really like to compare of couple of websites against each other, along with going to a local fabricator...

I asked this very same question about a month ago. Some one told me about this company, S&W race cars I think the web page is www.swracecars.com. A 10-point DOM cage is 499.99 You gotta weld it yourself. Also there was a mid 80's fullsize camoflauge chevy on the cover of fourwheeler a few months ago, he had an s&w cage in his truck.

I probably would have been too.. but I sold my old K5, and my 77 K10 about the same time that this site came online. I became a member when I bought another K5. :thumb:
