Is there a stock roll bar for a 86 k5 or are they all custem made?
Also , does anyone make a swinging spare tire holder that bolts on the rear so you can still drop your gate?

The factory offered a rear rollbar for the half-cab trucks (i.e. 76-91), but they are fairly rare. The only front rollbars that came factory were for 1974-1975 on the full-convertable trucks.

OTOH, there are lots of aftermarket bars and cages, kits, etc.

Vic Hickey and Valley Industries both used to make the swing-away style carrier, suitable for a gas can and a stock size spare tire. I've hung a 33" on one, and it was ... iffy, at best. The tailgate sheetmetal got torn up a bit. I ended up putting it onto my pickup, but I welded a tube THROUGH the tailgate for the attachment point :deal:

Anyway, the carriers are made new, that I know of -- JC Whitney may still have them -- but there are LOTS of them out there, junkyards, newspaper ads, Craigslist, Ebay, etc.
