roll bars?

Search feature won't work!!!!
I just found 2 roll bars from 80'S Blazers(for free /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and I need to know how to install them right the first time.
Considering mounting them as a roll cage-hoop over front and rear , joining them together
Any ideas?? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
I am able to modify and fab. up anything req. /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif
P.S. Where is the welding " instant graemlin" LOL

Anyway what kind of cage are you trying to make here?

A rear portion cage would be easy

A full cage to the rear would be a bit harder

Tell me that and I'll draw you something up

mount one in forwars in the factory location, and mount one in backwards with the main loop as far to the rear as possible and have the two connected. I've seen this once or twice and it doesn't look that bad.

I would like to make a roll bar, cage set up that :
The rear shoulder belts can be relocated from the fact.pos. in the removable top to the roll bar

Has the min. interference for pass. to get in/out of the rear seat(kids)

The best method of attaching the two main hoops to the truck , and the best method to join them together

I am just asking for the opinion of the guys that have done it is all , I would like to learn how others did it and mabey what they would have done different?

hmmm.. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif...dude this is CK5, not pirate..no need to apologize and i am sure no one was offended. They are just having a little fun. I am sure someone can answer your question. Believe me, I've posted questions and had my post float away into the archives! No biggy, just ask agian in different wording perhaps. Also, the key to search is to use the " "...ex "roll bar" will bring lots of history.
