A while back someone had pictures of rock sliders their brother made them for their K5. I can't remember who made them or the persons user name here on CK5. Does anyone have info on who makes rocksliders, bumpers, and roll cages here in Southern California? Looking to do this within the next month. Let me know, thanks in advance.

My brother is in Simi Valley, PM me if you want his e-mail.

I wish it was closer for me as I need sliders and would like to make new bumpers. I will be getting a bender later this year.

I will have to dig them up. I am not done I want to add some triangulation to the quarters, a V behind the front seats, kickers between the A and B pillars and a dash spreader. I may hold up on the quarter work as I would like to taper the front and rear as well. My brother is 3 hours from me so its in my best interest to get my own bender since it usually costs me $100 to get to his house and back just in fuel.

That is right about 100-110 feet of 2" .120 HREW tubing before the prices went sky high it was about $24 per 20' joint. Now that tubing would run $42-$48 per 20' joint.

Thanks for the info, the average quantity of tubing is something I've been curious about so that was a BIG HELP too! I saw your pics in the gallery and really like the cage, it's a lot like what I'm envisioning for my K5.

I have a question about your choice of 2" tubing, (with the top on) does it feel too big? I'm not knocking your choice, just trying to benefit from your experience - if you could do it over would you still use that size?

If you come across more pics showing the cage (like maybe with the gate down  ) I'd love to see them.

Thanks again! :thumb:

You don't need a bender, you need a notcher ... none of the above work requires bends.
You know you can always send me measurements and I can send "Parts up there.

I like the 2" and would stick with it.

<Sorry Blazindorito for my bad hijack>

This is another reason why I wanted to get it done. I wanted to get the roll cage done before TDS so I can take it up there. I'll give you a call during the middle of February so we can talk. I would like to get a cage like your brothers and a winch bumper on the front and rock sliders because I need a way to get up on the truck. Thanks for posting your info I will call you in the middle of FEbruary I'll see you at TDS?
