I'm at the point in my build that I need to address safety of occupants. I've seen plenty of cages and how awesome they are. I've also seen pics of bolt together cages and wondered about the quality. the bolt together cage sells for around 1600 bucks. Is it possible to have one welded for less? What is a good price for a QUALITY cage? I want to protect 4 people inside. Thank you for the help!

Take a look at the diy4x.com weld together kit, great product and the price is right. Mine is not installed yet but look at 4wheelingfury's build thread ("truckasaurus") for pics.

Note: the rear part of the cage kit is sold separately and not on their site because it's customizable. Need to call them about it.

Can you weld? Or are you looking something that you can just bolt into the floor and call it a day?

The DIY4X kit is the only thing on the market for the most part these days as a pre bent weld it yourself type kit.

If you want something complete, I would just find a local fab shop, or somebody that builds circle track cars etc and see what they say.
