havent yet, but im fixin to get one done. i talked to a guy at CEO and he said it would be about $1000 to do it.

it has been done...I've seen this burb in person and it's a full cage all the way to the rear

i imagine it did go all the way thru. i hear they are rather worthless if they dont...mine is definately going all the way to the frame...once i get around to it

It's not worthless if it doesn't go thru all the way to the frame.
When you tie into the frame, either you need to have a big hole so the body cab still move around when the body mounts flex, or you should eliminate the body mounts and tie everything together, in that case you better have some comfy seats or your ass is numb.
As for having a cage just for the cab, its still prevents the cab from crushing the people inside but doesn't make anything to stiffen the frame so it doesn't flex as much.
Depends what you are after.
And I will get lots of comments here but I know there are those that don't just follow the latest trend and think about things and know I am right.

i can see what you are saying. i just had heard they werent very good if they didnt go all the way thru. it would make me feel much safer having it tied into the frame.

A cage built for the safety of the passengers doesn't NEED to connect to the frame but will still work if connected.
It doesn't make it safer if it connects to the frame, it just adds to the rigidity of the frame.

how do they weld the sides close to the roof/pillars/doors? Or paint them??
In the future I would want to cage my sub, but I don't want to pay for someone to do it for me...
And that black sub looks like it has used it's cage before, hahaha. No sense in putting one in, if your not gonna use it! hahaha.

The top and legs were built and painted outside the truck. (except were cross and down bars needed to be welded) I've been working alot and the Sub is 220miles from me, I will post more pics of the cage when I pick it up.

Wow, sagechicken!! That thing is sweet. I love the way it hugs the dash, and everything else for that matter. Wish you were in AZ, and I'd ask for their number for future reference.
