Roll Cage ?

I picked up my bender from tjdieselperformance.com. It is $300 and comes with a die of your choice. I got the 1.75 die and I am happy so far.

Wow, $300 with a die, thats a good deal. Dies alone are $300.

Yeah you can get the bender with 5 dies for $700 or individual dies for $150. I thought it was a pretty good deal so I got it and have been happy so far. I have only about 30% of my cage done but I think the bender will hold up for a long time.

do not buy sw race kit!

I bought it and paid for the extra hoops and everything and about 500 in shipping... It wound up being a really expensive way to buy tubing.

I had a buddy back out on helping me pput it in and so I went to a fab shop and we designed the cage using some of the kit but I also incorporated a lot of Kerts stuff and we built it in phases.

In hind sight the sw kit was the worst route to go. I don't have the time to learn to weld and bend and notch, but working with a good fab shop and getting quality components and building it exactly the way I wanted with the shop was the best route for me.

Thats a nice looking cage. You just got to love a removable cage.

I am going to try to find a fab shop that can do the work. I have a very creative mind but only get to use it at work. Gas futures just went up that means more work than what I can handle at work. Anyone know of any good cage builders in the DFW area? I really dont like the thought of anyone besides myself touching my rig but I really dont have the choice this time. I am going to have them finish off my rear bumper too(swing away tire carrier and a jack and cooler rack). I am going to try and incorporate a pin-on high seat too for those west texas blue quail hunts. Trying to make a do all rig. There isnt much that you cant do with a K5 unless you had a family of more than 6 or more than 3 hunting buddies. I guess I should start one of those build threads even though this is my second build on this truck. 350/th350 just wasnt enough, I guess nothing ever will be enough.
