If it's going to get dented and cut and trimmed anyway, consider cutting the factory rockers out and replacing with what would be your new sliders. I should have done that when I built mine, would have given me an extra 6-8" at the rocker.

I cut my rockers out and replaced with 3x3 tubing then moved them up 4 more inches and cut 4" out of the doors and rebuilt them. Sliders are connected to the body and the frame then the cage was connected the sliders and frame.
