Rollbar doesn't look like mine

AFAIK the factory never installed a roll bar. They were always a dealer add on, so there are several version out there.

For 74-75 (but oddly, not for '73) there was a factory front rollbar, and I'm fairly certain that is one. It's RPO 1E50. I'd hafta dig through my parts books for the actual part number and pix, but it did exist. My '74 had one.

However, as Rampage points out, there were also a bunch of aftermarket units done at the dealer level, so you could get either.

Yep, Hickey Enterprises was one of the aftermarkets that offered their rollbars for the GM trucks.

Where are the part numbers stamped on the roll bars?

yep, was just going to say I recently pulled the same thing out of my friends '75, bolted to pillars too

Mine was obviously added after the factory then.

My last 75 had the same bar, bolted to the B pillars, I think I still have it in storage (the bar, the truck got parted) I can look for any numbers if you want.

I'm curious as to why there is no place on my B-Pillars to bolt to...they should be visible....right...and you would think that they all would have come from the factory with that bolt hole whether they got a bar or not....

There is now no doubt in my mind that my roll bar is a Hickey:

Amazing what's on that site that I never saw....after looking through the catalog, I don't think mine is a Hickey...at least it isn't exactly like the ones shown in that catalog.

I believe Hickey made more than one design on rollbars.

I have the 2 bars shown in this pic for support:

anybody got a pic of where they hooked up to the B-Pillar...just pure curiosity on my part...I got the one I got and I am not buying another, but I am very curious.

The '73-75 roll bar bolted down on the floor and exactly where the '76-'91 shoulder retractor bolts to. Pick any Blazer/Jimmy and have a look.
Bolt location never changed over nearly 20 yrs of production.
Hickey was aftermarket and never a GM option. Some dealers had Hickey packages but never a Detroit offered option.
Oddly enough, there WAS a shoulder harness option for K5 in '73-75 as there was on the '69-'72 pickups(not Blazer/Jimmy as far as I can remember)
'73-75 Blazer/Jimmy shoulder harness is rare as all heck.
Only seen it four times in 20 + yrs. One with a roll bar, 3 without.
The top shoulder harness bolted to the fiberglass top. If you have a '73-'75, look under that little button on the B-pillar part of the roof. It's threaded for the shoulder harness bolt.
In fact, the upper shoulder harness location never changed.
From '73 to '91, full or half, upper shoulder harness location never changed either. All that was re-designed was the lower mount part when the dropped floor & seat belt design was changed in '78 (I think) when GM put the 2nd mount on the lower B pillar, behind the seat.

When I pulled out the front roll bar out of the 1974 Blazer, here are some pics where it was connected. Hope it helps!
