I love this thread. Its like a book, lots of up and downs. Would make a very good story line:D

... I posted something on this thread in the beginning.. before
all this..now i get an email seemingly every 3 seconds im on
here....half the people are arguing.. and the others are..well...NOT...
now as a registered user with no money to change that..i think if i
pop my head from around the corner on this one its gonna get
shot off. :doah:.. i guess i have no room to talk till i pay dues...
but im just seeing alot of people ragging on others wayyyyy too
hard...im sorry for overstepping my bounds. but it seems as though
this happens on almost every thread. and for someone thats
trying to learn new things its hard to pick the information from the
bickering. so please lay off of each other. :o . and again i am
sorry for saying all of this because i know that there is not much
respect for someone that still has the "registered user"
mark next to their name. but thought it needed to be said.
so again i apologize for overstepping my bounds.

It is not necesarrily (sp?) a registered user VS Member thing. It is how things are brought up. This specific case was a request to post pictures to allow a registered user to view pictures not just members. He was told to pony up and that is where it went. It he would have asked differently the outcome I am sure would have been different. We all understand money is tight for a lot of folks and not everyone can pony up the cash but there are some incentives for paying members.

DEAR GAWD.....

I want 5 minutes of my life back...

avery...dude you remind me a bit much of myself back when I was in school just a few years back, stiring up the pot and checking out the madness and adding more to it multiple times a day...seem's ck5 is a big part of your life as well as your truck /hobby and how it relates to this board.

Anyways, stop and think about what you would be doing if you were not on ck5 or wrenching. I missed out on alot of other things when i was in school because my truck and everything that was connected to it consumed me....now I wish i had of done a few things differently, hell the truck that I was consumed with aint even around now..I missed out on some serious family time, now the parents are devorced, sisters have kids, and I have to try or go out of my way just to see em sometimes! There are two people on here that come to mind when I think of people that seem realistic in their hobby/life Matt and harley here in az, matt worked though school, wheeled one truck, and got his degree...his truck did not change overnight, but he sure as hell has got to do more wheeling then myself because of his priorities, now the truck is a beast!...then there is harley, same story....went after it with school, while working and seemed his k5 didnt consume him as well...also wheeled alot. and with the same truck in the time that I went though 5 trucks, alot of useless wrenching ect.. Also I saw your site...pretty nifty, but easy to notice how truck crazy you are, but nothing about your family. ALOT of senior members here are family guys, are older and have the ability to make the truck part of their life..not thier whole passion/craze/drive maybe that is why you clash so bad when you try to push an arguement or point...they have been their done that and have a different value on their truck and this website..based on their priorities.

anyways, its just the interenet, its the trucks/ hobby that brought us here...it really is not that important and really not worth an argument..I bet in person you might even be cool....on here though you pushing to strong in some threads.

you may win the battle..but you will loose the war

ok, I am just rambling now...good luck, just sharing what I learned the hard way, and yes my spelling is off the wall too..

now i think this thread belongs in the lounge....

this like a brotherhood, i dont see why ppl gatta fight and argue about stupid stuff. if you have info pertaining to the thread post up. if you've opinions and wana offer alternative ideas or something, do that. if you dont have the slightest clue about anything the thread is talking about, then dont post up jus so you will crease your post count to be viewed as a "vet". so far, there is no reward for having 10,000+ post count, so relax and enjoy.

alright now we got that out of the way....more pics of big tires :)

This was a neat thread at first... now it brings teh suck. :surepal:

This looks like a post for the dancing banana!!!!

After reading this thread I've concluded the Moderators of this site are either non-existent or very lax at what is considered acceptable to post/not post.

Oh well.

or....they actually get off the internet from time to time and wheel?

here is the related part, say said moderator in az travels to moab on 46 inch tires, and moderator b in new mexico travels on 52's.... who gets there quicker.. and is there any tire left when they do get there..

I don't know if any tire would be left or not, but I like the bananna (how many n's and a's are in banan---- screw it)

Sometimes it's just easier to make sure a person has enough rope to hang themselves before becoming involved...

Perhaps, but this thread has gone to 100+ posts, and alot of them are just plain bs. Most of the other forums I hang on a Mod would have stepped in long ago and either deleted posts or shut the whole thread down.

Another thing I've noticed is the people with the biggest internet balls are also the people that never fill out their profiles.

You know in 11 pages of posts I really expected to see a lot more big trucks. Oh yea and Avery, please don't ever call anyone a Noob. The fact you have a gagillion posts in the matter of short time means nothing... I frequent CK5 yet hardly post because I learn more by just watching what goes in the garage. Anyone could have 1500 posts if they searched google and other sites all day for pictures of big trucks and funny videos then post them here... Oh and by the way I'm not trying to give you "veteran" advice, we are the same age, same grade, I just spend more time actually wrenching and wheeling then posting about other people doing it. That's just my .02
