I drove my rig on it's first 20 miles after my GreenHorn Ring & Pinion swap to 4.11s this weekend.
Everything seamed to be running smooth!!

No howling or crunching or snaping or banging so I must have done it right

so far anyway!!

and thoes 4.11 with 33"ers really lurch my rig forward, kinda felt like I had it in 4Lo when it was in 2Hi

.
Now I just need to get the miles on both front and rear! I did put it in 4Hi and drove on the street, just took the corners slow cuz that new Power-Lock is supper tight and had my front locked, had all the carictoristics of a locker. I know of a dirt road near by so gonna spend a few hours driving on that in 4Hi to break it all in.......
I just had to share my VICTORY!!!!!!

And thanks again to ALL here that helped me out the last 4 weeks!!!!! You all ROCK!

you can repay the K5 gods by helping me do mine. actually, someone told me i can adjust the lash(?) to get rid of some slop i have?
if not, i'll be re-gearing soon.

lash = Backlash
it is the amount of slop/play in your ring & pinoin. So if you have your rig in nutral and try to rotate your driveshaft it should move just a c hair, if there is allot of movement then yes you can tighten that by moving the carrier via shims.....
I work for beer so no problem!

yeah, i swung by goldrush's work on friday. he did the neutral / driveline thingy, and told me what it was. he said i can live with it for quite a while, but i figure since you're fresh from kickin R&P ass, now is the time to monkey with it.

Who Me?? Naa I don't even like beer...yaa right!LOl

I did do a celibration dance and screamed YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as loud as I could followed by a buch of YES ...Yes &gt;&gt;&gt;YES YESS YEEEESSSSSS!!! then sat down on my okee chair (old Blazer seat mounted to milk crate) tossed back a few and just looked and stared at my rig.... Oh ya than I put my sticker on the winsheild I got from Jeff. It says "BUILT NOT BOUGHT" in the same font that LedZeppelin uses, very cool I'll get some pics up on Zing for you too see. I also put CK5 sticker on the front of my rig right above my roller fairlead. Looks cool, i think anyway........
