I traded my 2008 silverado z-71 crew cab in last March but never posted it here.....

This truck is bought not built and not gonna get much of anything as it is my DD and doesnt need anything. I knew the wife wasnt gonna let me drop a 6" lift and 35's on the 08 so this was better... with factory warranty!!!m:thumb:

My 08 had a cylinder that was blowing a plug apart every month so new plug in.. good to go.. also had power window issues when in the back but ok from driver... so truck had to go...

only future plans when out of warranty (I drive 120+ miles a day so 3 years) is
air lockers front and back - beach driving on corolla nc
3.73 or 4.10 - currently stock 3.42's and truck doesnt move that fast...

2013 GMC Sierra Z-92...
Wife was supposed to get a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara edition in Blue .
I told her I wanted to check this thing out.. as we were trading my silverado in...
The truck i was looking at I knew would be too much..
but after looking at it..
got $16,800 for my trade in with 93,000 miles!!!!!!!
plus a ton of rebates and incentives... and i owed 8500

i ended up with a z-92!!!! she is beautiful!!!!

so knowing the sticker of the base Sierra I got... and then add the z-92 options.. they dont make money on the z-92 part..

here is the z-92 sheet.. just fount it!!!

so far I have only added the window vents... no pics

Awesome man. They have those at the dealership down the road from my house. I would love to have one but the $60,000 price tag scared me off. That's more than I owe on my house! You're a lucky guy.

well i wasnt supposed to buy it.. and mine was $51,380 (hold on from saying anything) and the 2014 is $57,800

so this is how it went..
I got to the dealership.. walked up.. guy said can I help you. I said.. yes I want to see the black gmc sierra crew cab out front. He said.. HELLO this is a GMC Dealership and we have MANY of them out front.. I said "The Big One".. his eyes lit up and he said everyone has been looking at it...

so we looked.. I saw the sticker and said... Unless you are the right hand of God and can work Miracles I am not gonna pay that...
oh and also we are going to Vineland to buy a 2013 Jeep Unlimited Sahara to which the wife said.. It is My Turn (in her voice) and she held up the paperwork for the jeep as we always go to a dealership with the vin of what we want to see from their inventory...

so we go to talk..

guy says so what do you expect to get for your truck?
I said.. well KBB.com says it is worth $16k in Excellent condition...
to which rep says.. umm we dont go by KBB and I said.. truck isnt in Excellent condition as it has paint blemishes, etc... but I know where I want to be...

so they go to check it out and we go inside..

we sit down and the rep starts working...
I say I dont feel like going to navy federal credit union to get my loan so I want to go though them but iknow NFCU is 1.99%..

he scratches the 51,380 off the paper and says... ok NFCU price starts at
$51,380 - original
$48,000 - NFCU price
$46,500 - Trading a GM in
$45,000 - GM at home - loyal customer
$36,700 - $16,800 for my trade in.. I owed $8500 so $8300 towards truck
$33,500 - rebates plus tax, tags, registration

so with that... $33,500 INCLUDING 7% tax, registration for 5 years....

I couldnt pass... wife was pissed but I drove out of there with it... now if it was any higher.. no way in hell would I have bought it and we would have gotten the jeep (and she would be happy even right now i hear about it)...

payment is $499 a month... go to sign and it is $565.. I say what happened to $499??? I dont want the truck..
they try adding tire/rim insurance ($2500 which will pay for 5 tires and rims!!!), and other crap I didnt want. Had them remove it all...

back down to $499

so with that... I did pay $99 for LIFETIME oil changes!!!! :woot:
never pay again for that but I do have them rotate the tires so $25 to rotate and oil change!!!!

oh and I owe $170k on my house... UGHHHH

Dude that's awesome. Those trucks sit out on the lot down the street for like a whole year sometimes here. Sometimes they go quick though. They call them Rugged Ridge Customs here. Looks like the same truck.

Your truck that was one year older was worth almost a quarter sticker price of the 14? Huh :dunno:

I think he was saying that the 2014 was $6,000 more than the 2013 when they were both new.

I just can't believe how much they came off the price though. I used to joke with my wife that I was going to go in there and offer them $30,000 and drive one out if there. I mean there's no way they're selling any of them for over $55,000.

Forgot...1250 on gm card points.so somewhere to help to 33k i$ 1250 more off.. hah... that is why i couldnt refuse...

Got backup cam... tow package..... 6 speed.... 5.3.... blutooth and steering wheel controls

I decided to go out and buy me one now. Psyche! I parked right next to it and asked my wife which one she liked better. She looked over at the new truck and said "I think I prefer that one." $58,000 on the sticker. I think I'll keep my old pile a while longer. It's amazing how far they've come in 30 years though.

Nice.... more pics? Also if not a 2014... 58k sticker will drop a lot as its a left over.... $58k will get u a 2014...

That's the only pic I got. It was Easter so there were no salesmen around to harass me. Normally they're on you before you can even get in the driveway good. There were three of those trucks parked in a row - a black Chevy, a red Chevy and this black GMC. Pretty sure the old piece parked on the end is only worth about 1/2 as much as the Fabtech suspension on these conversions. :haha: Not sure how the pic got curved though. My truck is straight across the grille and hood (I think). :dunno:

Notice it says Rocky Ridge across the windshield, not Rugged Ridge like I said before. That must be the company they contract to do those conversions around here. No where on it did it say anything about a Z-92 package. That's a new one to me. Did the dealer customize yours?

so u buy it or going back to buy?

if you drop the line of credit union.. i did.. i said i dont want to go to the navy federal credit union to get my loan... they dropped the price from $51,380 to $48,000 right off the bat.. worth a try.. :thumb:

mine is done by a different company than that one..

mine is through American Luxury Coach (ALC)
http://www.americanluxurycoach.com/PZ92Conversion.aspx

rocky ridge has different versions too...
http://www.rockyridgevans.com/

their phantom is nice...

Wow. That's something else.

There's no way I'm getting one of those things man. It would be nice though. Maybe in like 2035 or something. :haha:

I could go to the Air Force employees credit union right down the street from that dealership but I'm pretty sure sure the payments would still be sky high considering I don't have anything to trade in like you did.

I see more and more of them in town though. Every time I see one I'm like "man there goes one broke (but cool) s.o.b." :haha: :haha:

I can't tell if the ones here are 2013 or 2014 models. I forgot to look at the stickers. (couldn't get past the price) I bet they would take a whole lot less than $58k though. My wife said I could trade our house for it since I only own $57k on it.

i think that is a 2014...
yeah... they are pricey... love it.. just drove 290 miles each way this weekend... gas pumps liked me too:whistle:

What's your mileage like with that contraption? I'm sure it's better than your blue truck's. I hope so anyway.
