hi guys,

what will doubling the shock absorbers add to my car? will it be able to take rougher rides like in the sand as it now shakes badly when if i keep a steady speed...

and how much will independent suspenstion cost if i wanted to do that?

Double shocks will stiffen your ride quite a lot but it's not altering what the spring can take as such.
Why would you want independant suspension? Best improvement over what we have from factory is to go coil over. Very do-able but expensive if you're not doing the work yourself.

You don't need fancy coilovers to go fast in the sand.... (but they're nice!)

If you look at some of the desert racing websites, so can see examples of trucks with leafsprings that do very well. Typically, the springs are custom made (Deaver spring, Alcan, etc) and carefully matched to a set of shocks so that the whole system performs correctly.
