I just recently had the filter and fluid serviced in my 700r4. I used to do about 1100rpm at 50mph, now I'm doing about 1700 at the same mph. I know it's shifting into over drive because I will drive it in 3rd then bump the shifter up and the rpm will lower. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks.

:dunno:maybe your lockup came undone? when youre in OD and at 70 or so lightly tap the brakes and if the rpms go up its functioning right.

If you mean the lockup plug on the drivers side of the tranny it's hooked up. I will have to try the break trick tomorrow on the way to work ,I forgot about that.

Thanks guys.

If everything is plugged in right on the outside. Then it is very possible that when they changed the filter. The wires to the lock up solenoid got un plugged or disconnected. You would have to pull the pan to check it out.
I would take it back the whwew you got the work done and have then fix it
